Nervula ("App") is a peer-to-peer (P2P) based, secure, and decentralized communication application. Your privacy and security are our top priority. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand how we (do not) handle your personal information.

1. What Data Do We Collect?

Nervula's core principle is decentralization and P2P technology. Accordingly:

• We do not collect personal data: You do not need to provide a phone number, email address, or any other identifiable information to use the app.
• We do not access messages and files: We use End-to-End (E2E) encryption for all communication. While we may use relay servers to ensure a stable connection, these servers only forward encrypted data packets. The servers cannot decrypt the content, nor do they store it, meaning neither we nor any third party can access your data.
• We do not collect usage statistics (Analytics): We do not integrate third-party tracking codes (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) that would monitor your activity.

2. Device Permissions

The app may require certain device permissions for proper functionality, which your operating system (Android) will request:

• Camera and Microphone: To take pictures, record voice messages, or read QR codes (e.g., to add a partner).
• Storage / Files and Media: To send and save files (e.g., images, documents) on your device.
• Network / Internet: Internet access is essential for establishing P2P connections and communication.

This data (e.g., camera feed or microphone audio) is processed exclusively on your device and is only transmitted to your partner (encrypted) if you explicitly choose to send it.

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

Because the system (including our relay servers) does not collect or log any identifiable personal data or decryptable content, we have no data to sell, disclose, or share with third parties (such as advertisers or authorities).

4. Data Security

During communication, data is protected by End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). Data is exchanged directly between communicating parties, and Nervula does not intervene in any way. Please ensure the physical and software security of your own device (e.g., using a password or biometric authentication), as you are responsible for the local data stored on your device.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not request personal data for registration, we have no way to verify age, and therefore we do not collect or store personal data from children.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or legal requirements. Please review this document periodically for the latest information.
